A Conversation About Partnership
A very good friend of ours, Marc Marling (he describes himself as a recovering lawyer and entrepeneur) has on several occasions observed that as law firms go, we give the appearance of operating on a different, and perhaps unique, model. Mark is not the only one who has made that observation – several of our clients (those who hire lawyers all over the country on a regular basis), have also commented that we do things “differently.” Our response is that perhaps we are not so unique, we’re just old school – partners in the way lawyers used to be partners, representing clients as a team, building a practice as a team, not competing with one another for clients or business. In any event, Marc has a new podcast (Corporate Thought), and he pestered us unmercifully to sit with him for an interview about our partnership and how we work together.
